What does it cost to be a member of MECA?

Organization dues are $85 per school year.
Dues cover:
  • Scholarships (2 $1000 scholarships awarded per school year). Dues of advisors must be paid in full for students to be eligible to be considered for scholarship award.
  • Organization material (office supplies, stamps, checks, etc.)
  • Organization Fees (bank, legal, tax, etc.)
  • Conference and/or meeting supplies (limited basic supplies)
  • Conference and/or meeting costs (deposits, reimbursements, etc.)
  • Keynote speaker costs (if/when applicable)
  • Any other expenses the board and/or members see fit
       
Conference and workshop costs will be billed and paid for in addition to yearly dues and will be determined before registration for each event.

Who should join MECA?

We want to gather the teachers and advisors of CTE: Education/Teacher Prep programs from around the state of Michigan. Though we often feel like we are alone, there are actually over 70 programs across the state. MECA allows these programs to connect and have a common organization that supports every advisor.

How do I become a member of MECA?

FIRST, to be a MECA member you must be actively working or certified in Educator General.
